Happy New Year!

Ready to put 2016 behind us and get our first news of 2017?

Here we go!

Not nearly as much big news from the last couple weeks as it mostly consisted of new FFG products actually hitting store shelves, but some cool stuff nonetheless.

Video Games

Over at the YouTube channel InsideEA, we got a glimpse at some of the work being done on Star Wars Battlefront 2 from Montreal-based Motive studios. There’s a lot that can be parsed from just the few seconds of new images being worked on. Some things we’ve long suspected (battles between Resistance and First Order) as well as just some new additions to previous planets. Star Wars Game Outpost did some screen-cap analysis you can check out here.

In sadder news, we keep getting images of some of the Disney Infinity Star Wars characters we WOULD have gotten had it not gotten the axe. Amongst them, a Baze Malbus figure. WE WERE GETTING ROGUE ONE INFINITY FIGURES!!!

And with Knights of the Eternal Throne having launched, they’ve released a new trailer showing off some our favorite moments in the story, as well as what you can expect after you’ve finished the finale of the story!

Tabletop

On the FFG side of the world, we finally have gotten a look at some of the upcoming specializations from the long-awaited Bounty Hunter player sourcebook, No Disintegrations.

Sticking with the RPG portion of FFG (Yes! Give us more RPG!), we get a look at the involvement of the Toydarians and their conflict with the Hutts in the upcoming Force and Destiny adventure, Ghosts of Dathomir!

We also got a look at the prizes that will be available for those that make it through to the upper echelons of the 2017 X-Wing System Open Tournament! One of the coolest things is the double-sided arabesh-scripted pilot card for the Ghost and the Inquisitor’s TIE!

Finally, Game Informer (yes, the magazine from GameStop) apparently has a tabletop section now they gave their impressions of the new CCG, Star Wars Destiny. Spoiler: they really like it.
