The Jodo Cast Star Wars Character Appearances Across Tabletop Games Mega-Tracker Project

This is a project I’ve been working on for a little while now, and am constantly in the process of updating. I started it out of curiosity, and mostly boredom, as I thought it would make good trivia, but it’s just kept growing.

If you have a favorite character, you can use this tool to find out which games he/she appears in!

This spreadsheet tracks different Star Wars characters and how many times they appear in different tabletop games.

I might be the only one who finds this interesting.

How It Works

Games

Different Star Wars games are listed across the top that make up the columns. Not every single tabletop game that’s ever existed is on this spreadsheet (yet). If there’s a game you’d like to see on the list, let me know and I’ll add it!

Games have the year listed, and are sorted by titles that are published by Fantasy Flight Games (the current major publishing company responsible for Star Wars tabletop games); to the left of the blue columns, and by those that are not published by FFG; to the right of the blue columns.

Games listed in Green indicate games that are still producing expansions; more characters will be getting added to these games.

Games listed in Orange are completed games. No more characters will be being added to these games.

Characters

Down the left side are all of the characters.

Only unique characters have been included on this list; meaning people with a name, like Luke Skywalker, rather than “stormtrooper” or “rebel pilot.”

The numbers in each character’s row indicate how many times they appear in that particular game.

I count an appearance, as a substantial game element, whether player controlled or not, for example, Hera Syndulla appears twice in X-Wing Miniatures, once as a pilot card, and once as a crew card.

For the purposes of this tool, Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker are two different characters.

Some characters have only half an appearance in a game, shown as a “.5.” This represents instances where multiple characters might share a card or a figure, such as the Owen Lars & Beru Lars card from the Star Wars Customizable Card Game, or the Chewbacca with C-3PO figure from the Star Wars Miniatures Game.

Numbers for characters that are highlighted in cyan, represent products that have been announced, but aren’t yet released.

For example, at the time of this writing, it has been revealed that Hera Syndulla will appear in Star Wars The Card Game as well as Imperial Assault, but those products aren’t in stores yet.

Each character name links to their page on Wookieepedia and the color (as well as the column next to the name for easy sorting) denotes whether the character is Canon or Legends.

Note: Not all characters from each game are listed. The games in this tracker that do not have all of their characters listed currently are, Galactic Connexions, The Star Wars CCG, and Star Wars Miniatures.

I also left out characters from X-Wing miniatures whose only appearance listed on Wookieepedia was X-Wing Miniatures. This includes pilots like “Whisper” and “Deathrain.” Additionally I omitted all of the original heroes and villains from Imperial Assault, as they don’t even have entries on Wookieepedia.

Sorting

This is how the table is currently sorted, as an example.

If you’re unfamiliar with Google Sheets and how to best sort tables like this, here’s some tips to view this data in different ways.

  1. Click on the space to the left of Column A, and above Row 1. This will select the whole sheet.
  2. Click on Data near the top.
  3. Click on Sort Range
  4. Ensure Data has header row is checked
  5. Then Select the column you want it to sort by, such as Character or Totals
  6. Then you can click Add another sort column, this will add a second level of sorting. You can add as many levels as you like.

You could first sort by Legends or Canon to seperate all characters by their canon status if you like. You could also sort by having Totals be the first column to better see which characters appear the most in these games. I chose to sort by Character so it would be easier to find any characters you might be interested in.

If you notice any errors in this tracker, or if there’s a game or character not present that you’d like me to add, please leave a comment on this page and I’ll get on it.
