News Roundup 2/26/2016

It’s your favorite time of the week! Star Wars gaming news time!

Well it was a slow news week, consisting only of video game news. Fantasy Flight really needs to throw us a bone here…

A new update landed for Battlefront, which added a sweet new map, Twilight on Hoth, and expanded game mode Turning Point to be on all of the large maps, rather than just Jakku. Which is awesome. Turning Point is the best.

If you want a full breakdown of everything the update added, you can catch the full patchnotes over on the Battlefront forums.

EA also gave us a new image teasing the first set of paid DLC for Battlefront, Outer Rim.

If you look closely, you can see what appears to be Nien Nunb, and Greedo. Yes Greedo. Could these be two new hero and villain characters in the DLC? Seems likely, but lame. This feels like a lazy move, given that the game already has Rodian and Sullustan skins. Hopefully we’ll still get Chewbacca in that DLC.

Cinelinx has reported that Lucasarts was toying with a game called Star Wars Episode VII: Shadows of the Sith, which would have featured Luke’s son, Ben Skywalker.

Lucasfilm story group’s Pablo Hidalgo even chimed in about the story:

And that’s all for the news! Hopefully this time next week Fantasy Flight will have given us some exciting new tabletop news to gush about.
