Jodo Cast Episode 5: Feels Like 1993

Welcome back, one and all, to another new episode, wherein our heroes get to assail you with so much Star Wars video game chatter your ears will bleed. You will also learn that the term “jizz wailing” is a legitimate thing from Star Wars.

Some of the biggest video game news to hit lately doesn’t come from any new developments at EA-Star Wars, but in the form of old treasures being available again as Windows 7/8 native! X-Wing and TIE Fighter from the glory days of LucasArts are just two of the golden oldies we talk about. Plus, some interest gets peaked by the impending return of Darth Revan to The Old Republic.

Of course, we always would like to hear how you feel about both the topics we discuss and how we are doing here at our new place. Still has the new website smell…

Hope you guys are able to fix your audio situation. I really enjoyed your podcast, but the audio has become unlistenable at some points. Mostly this is due to the new third guy’s mic being low, or he doesn’t stay close to the mic. If you can balance the levels any better, please do. Like I said I really enjoy the content and hope you can get the technical part right.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Hey there. Yeah the audio has been a difficulty for us since I can’t be physically with them to balance their equipment and find the right levels at their end. Newest ep (coming up) should have much better sound levels. We appreciate you continuing to listen through our growing pains!

Love the discussion of the old games. I have many fond memories of playing Tie Fighter and Dark Forces. I bought an old 400mhz Windows 95 CPU off Ebay. The shipping far exceeded the price but it is perfect for when nostalgia seizes hold of me.
