News Roundup 2/5/2016

Welcome to the first ever Jodo Cast weekly News Roundup. Where we round up the news. Crazy.

Here’s all of the newsworthiest Star Wars gaming news that news’d it’s way to us this newsweek.

Lego: The Force Awakens Video Game was announced this week. If it’s anything like the previous Lego games it should be super fun.

What’s a bit odd, but in retrospect not too surprising, is that the game will feature a Deluxe Edition, and feature a Season Pass DLC.

In the realm of physical games,  Fantasy Flight has announced their 2016 Spring Tournament kits. Lots of juicy goodies to scoop up for their Star Wars games. The challenge coins look so cool.

Check out what comes in each kit below:

Worth noting is that the Royal Guard alternate art cards that come in the Imperial Assault kit, will be the new versions of the cards, after they went through some major changes in the latest errata.

Swinging our focus to the Motherland, FFG forum user circk, has brought to light that Russian Star Wars fans are apparently getting snubbed on FFG’s Star Wars games.

“Everything changed in the fall of 2015. FFG stopped supporting X-Wing in Russia. And now we have no tournament kits, support, etc.”

“We have a really large community here: last national championship gather more than 80 players from all country. But now we have no chance to play ‘legally’.

Now we have many “tournaments” across the country but without any officiall kits.”
This is a huge bummer for our Russian friends. Star Wars is a universal fandom, and access to FFG’s top quality Star Wars games should be worldwide too.

Wrapping up our news today is the Lead by Example Sourcebook is now available for Age of Rebellion.

This ithorian here is actually demonstrating great patience while he waits for the Punishing One preview to be posted for X-Wing, the last ship left un-previewed for X-Wing Wave 8.

Perhaps they’ll post this preview today after you’ve read this, but at this point we’ve all just given up hope…
